VICTORY IN EUROPE
Friday 8th May 2020 marks the 75th Anniversary of Victory in Europe. It will be commemorated by a public bank holiday. VE Day marks the end of World War 11 when the guns in Europe fell silent, ending 6 years of destruction. Millions of people took to the streets to celebrate peace and to mourn the loss of loved ones.
The 75th Anniversary of Victory in Europe brings an opportunity for the nation to reflect on the huge sacrifice and courage of those service men and women who fought in the conflict and remembering those civilians who lived through such a dark and terrifying period in our history.
The Lady Haig Poppy Factory is proud to offer two specially commissioned wreaths centres to commemorate the end of the atrocities in Europe and the Far East. Both centres are available in the No. 2, No. 7 and No. 8 wreath and Badged Symbols. All items can be viewed on our on-line shop.
The conflict continued in Japan until they surrendered to the Allies on 15th August 1945, effectively ending World War 11.
The Lady Haig Poppy Factory specialises in bespoke wreaths centres and we are able to accommodate most design’s with a very quick turn round. There is also no additional charge for bespoke artwork, it is included in the price of the wreaths. Wreath centres can also be purchased individually. All our products are available to view on our website. Our sales team can be reached on 0131 550 1573.
