Friday seems to have come around very quickly and we have received another poppy photograph for our ‘Post A Poppy Pic’ 2017 competition. Here you can see entry No. 53 taken by Anne Gardner. This colourful poppy is growing in her very own garden and would cheer you on the most dreary of drizzly summer days. Thanks for sharing with us all Anne! Remember, it’s not too late to share your own poppy pics – you never know where you may spot one out and about. Post them to our Facebook page or send them via Facebook messenger.
It’s been very busy this week at Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory. Thousands of poppies have been hand assembled for Poppy Appeal 17 and hundreds of wreaths made in preparation for Remembrance and for many customers visiting war graves. Some of the wreaths produced this week have included personalised bespoke centres, including photographs of relatives in their uniform with their name and service number – adding that extra special touch and making the laying of a wreath more personal.
Time for a well earned rest for our veterans because there’s lots of work to do and a very early start on Monday! On behalf everyone here at the Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory we wish you all a lovely weekend (hopefully with some sunshine) and we thank you all for your valued support.
