Competition Winner – Heather Johnson

Featured is our Post a Poppy Pic. Competition winner for 2017.   Entry No. 16 was taken by Heather Johnson in her garden in Colchester, Essex. The 3 poppies were planted in remembrance of her 3 Great Uncles who fell during the Great War.   This wonderful winning picture will be our cover photograph for the month of August.  Well done Heather we love the colours and the story behind the poppies.   Heather please private message us with your address and we’ll send off your prize – a fantastic poppy tea towel.

Our first profile pic. winner will feature Entry No. 6 taken by Christine Evans.  This photograph was taking from Crail looking along the Fife coastal path.  We’ve not had very many sunny days like this in Edinburgh so we feel this is a worthy winner and a reminder that for us Edinburgh, folk summer has passed us by!

Our second profile pic. winner is Entry No. 44 taken by Eilidh Rose McCready taken in Gorebridge. Fantastic contrast of the white daisies along with the beautiful red poppy.  Well done Eilidh
